North Cheyenne Canon Park, Columbine Trail Rehabilitation Phase 4:
City of Colorado Springs Parks & Recreation Department/Friends of Cheyenne Canon. Prime Contractor.
Completed 2500 feet of machine-assisted rehabilitation on the Lower Columbine Trail. This project, located directly under the Pinnacle Peak Climbing Area, included a 325 foot trail re-route with stone-retained climbing turns, and required numerous stone crib wall retainers and extensive excavation to restore the trail to a 48” wide specification. This phase also completed our involvement with the Columbine Rehabilitation Project with over 14,000 linear feet of trail reconditioned over the last two seasons.
